Security phrase (used to verify Care Dollar transactions)

Transaction history and Care Dollar balances

Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
App usage data, features used, QR code scans
Location data:
Precise location (GPS) is collected only with your explicit permission and is used solely to provide location-based features within the app, such as showing nearby services when you choose to use the "Use my current location" feature.

Create and manage your account
Show you nearby wellness services and businesses based on your location
Enable you to find services in your area
Allow you to send Care Dollars to friends
Verify your business identity using EIN (for business accounts)
Process Care Dollar transactions between users and businesses
Authenticate transactions when businesses scan user QR codes and enter their security phrase (for business accounts)
Connect and maintain your Stripe payment account (for business accounts)
Send SMS notifications (OTP codes for login/registration, password reset, phone number changes)
Provide customer support
Detect fraud and prevent unauthorized access
Comply with tax and financial regulations
Improve our services and personalize recommendations
3. SMS Text Messages
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages including:
One-time passcodes (OTP) for login and registration
Account verification codes
Password reset codes
Phone number change verification
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Note: These are essential security messages required for account functionality. You cannot opt out of OTP and security messages as they are necessary to protect your account and verify your identity.
We do not sell your phone number. It's only shared with our SMS provider (Twilio) to deliver messages.
4. How We Share Your Information

AWS (Amazon Web Services) - to store data securely
Analytics providers:
Framer - website analytics

Public Business Information:
Your business name, description, location, and logo are visible to app users so they can find your services.
User Location:
Your selected city/location is used to show you relevant nearby services and may be visible to businesses when you book services.

We may disclose information to comply with laws, court orders, or to protect our rights and safety.

We protect your information using:

Your security phrase is critical - it protects your business from unauthorized Care Dollar transactions. Never share it with anyone.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing and maintaining our services, complying with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, and tax obligations, and enforcing our agreements.
Personal data is stored in accordance with the principles of data minimization and storage limitation under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you delete your account, we will stop processing and delete or anonymize your personal data without undue delay. After account deletion, personal data is not retained, unless continued retention is required or permitted by applicable law.
Certain categories of data, such as transaction, billing, or tax-related information, may be retained for longer periods where required to comply with legal obligations.
